A local bank has gifted the captital campain of local Catholic schools a significant donation. Representatives of MidWestOne Bank, Beckman Catholic High School and St. Francis Xavier Elementary gathered at Beckman Catholic in Dyersville Thursday, February 19, to recognize the MidWestOne Bank Foundation’s $50,000 gift to the schools’ joint capital campaign. The One Faith. One Family. One Future. capital campaign, launched last Fall, aims to fund capital improvements across both school campuses and grow their respective endowments. Marcel Kielkucki, Beckman Catholic principal, and Peter Smith, Xavier Elementary principal, accepted the gift on behalf of the schools. With an original campaign goal of $7 million, the campaign for Beckman and Xavier has received nearly $8 million in gifts and pledges toward a $9 million updated ‘stretch’ goal. This campaign is the schools’ largest and most successful fundraising initiative in their history.
