A Dubuque County Farm building was destroyed by fire early Sunday. According to a news release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, just after 1 AM, first responders were dispatched to a structure fire at 27249, Dyersville East Road for a report of a structure fire. Crews arrived to find a farm building, owned by Dennis and Kathleen Soppe, to be fully engulfed. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, but the building and its contents are considered to be a total loss, with an estimated value of $100,000. The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and no injuries were reported. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, along with Farley Fire and EMS and Dyersville Holy Cross Fire Departments responded to the fire.
