A Western Dubuque athlete made history at the State track meet Saturday. Junior Quentin Nauman clocked a 1:49.41 in the 800m run and a 3:59.60 in the 1600m run. He’s the first high school boy to race under 1:50 and under 4:00 in those two races in the same meet. He earned his fourth state title of the year, and the eighth of his career. Also in action Saturday, the Maquoketa Valley girls won the 1A sprint medley relay with a time of 1:50.02. More state track results are coming up in the sports report.
