A building at Pinicon Ridge Park was destroyed by fire Fiday night. At about 11:05, Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Central City Fire Department were dispatched to 1746 Main Ridge Road in Central City, which is at the entrance to Pinicon Ridge Park. Responders arrived to find a building on fire. Coggon, Prairieburg, and Alburnett Fire Departments were called to assist with fighting the fire. The storage building owned by Linn County Conservation was a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown.
